youth and children

A Wildside experience for youth and/or children is great fun and packed with a variety of activities. At the same time it can be deeply faith-building with many opportunities to connect with God through His creation and the activities. Praise is a natural response in such a beautiful setting, and where "wow moments" occur.

Groups can come for several days or for just a few hours.

We sometimes lead groups across private land to Dunkeswell Abbey Church, a "thin place" built on the ruins of a Cistercian monastery. This can be a powerful experience for some.

Please contact us to discuss how a Wildside experience could work for your group. We may come up with ideas that you wouldn't otherwise have thought of!

God’s presence has never been so tangibly real or near... I’ve really learnt how to just be still and hear God.

Church family

There are lots of ways that Wildside Experience could support your Church family...

  • Leading a service / presentation on God's creation
  • Retreat in a beautiful and wild setting here, with activities appropriate for all ages
  • Activities as part of your Church away day
  • Advent or lent walk.

The Wildside team are always willing to speak about their ministry and the vision of Wildside Experience.

Men's groups

A Wildside experience offers outdoor activities and challenges that are ideal for men - including fire-lighting, target archery, tree-climbing, wild food foraging, scrub clearance, bonfires, spoon carving and time alone, all in a beautiful and wild location. There will be many opportunities to connect with God through His creation and the activities.

Richard and/or James will come in as speakers at men's breakfasts or gatherings, to tell about Wildside Experience from a Christian perspective.

A fantastic retreat from the hustle of working life, enabling me to re-connect with the quiet pace of God’s Creation. I am a veteran outdoors guy but Richard and the Wildside Team brought something new and exciting to my understanding of relating faith to the natural world.
