Schools - Camps, Residentials and Fieldwork

We welcome primary and secondary school groups for camping and residential experiences. We put together a programme for your stay with us which could include bushcraft, woodcraft, archery, games, nature activities (including in the dark) and walking.

We have a lovely secluded camping area by the river with a fire pit, a field for playing games and the woods nearby. We have group shelters including a yurt, we use camping toilets but you would also have access to a shower and flush toilet if required.

We can also work with you to lead Biology fieldwork projects. Our site has varied habitats including a springline mire with specific plant species, suitable for profiling and line/belt transect. There is also the river that can be sampled for flow and invertebrates at various places. Richard is a qualified Biology teacher, with experience of teaching A-level Biology fieldwork.

We will send you our kit list, consent form and a letter to parents that you can adapt, also full risk assessments and any other documentation that you may require.

We are registered with Devon and Somerset as approved providers for school educational visits.
