Schools - Theme Days

A surprise encounter with Sir Francis Drake!

You tell us your topic or theme, and we plan your day. Topics we’ve used for primary schools include “explorers”, “Australia”, “the rainforest”, “owls” and “the Wind in the Willows”. We have also run “Forest School” days, nature days and special days for secondary school pupils who are gifted and talented in Science (e.g. a “Physics of fire” day).

We would encourage you to bring groups out to us, or we can come into your school. Please contact us with your topic or request and see what creative ideas we come up with!

Many thanks for planning and running such a well thought out educational experience today. You listened carefully to our thoughts and ideas, and produced a specialised, informative day that clearly reflects your talent and passion for sharing the joys of nature with others. Your wealth of knowledge enriched the learning for pupils and adults alike. Everybody learned something new and had fun doing so! We will definitely recommend you to other schools and colleagues.

I really enjoyed today. Best school trip ever!

What a brilliant and informative day. The children (and the teachers!) learned so much about owls.  We thoroughly enjoyed dissecting the pellets and were amazed at the number and variety of bones we found. Thank you so much, we will be talking about the day for a long time to come.
