CHURCHES

"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good" (Genesis 1:31).

YOUTH AND CHILDREN

A Wildside experience for youth and/or children is great fun and packed with a variety of activities. At the same time it can be deeply faith-building with many opportunities to connect with God through His creation and the activities. Awe, wonder and praise are natural responses to “wow moments” in such a beautiful setting.

Groups can come for several days or for just a few hours.

Dunkeswell Abbey Church, built on the ruins of a Cistercian monastery,
is just a short walk away and well worth a visit.

“God’s presence has never been so tangibly real or near... I’ve really learnt how to just be still and hear God.”

Mischa (age 18), City Community Church, Exeter.

CHURCH FAMILY

There are lots of ways that Wildside Experience could support your Church family...

  • Leading a service / presentation on God's creation

  • Retreat in a beautiful and wild setting here, with activities appropriate for all ages

  • Activities as part of your Church away day

  • Advent or lent walk.

Richard and Alison are always willing to speak about their ministry and the vision of Wildside Experience.

MEN'S GROUPS

A Wildside experience offers outdoor activities and challenges that are ideal for men - including fire-lighting, target archery, wild food foraging, scrub clearance, bonfires, spoon carving and time alone, all in a beautiful and wild location. There will be many opportunities to connect with God through His creation and the activities.

Richard is always willing to speak at men's breakfasts or gatherings, to tell about Wildside Experience from a Christian perspective.

“A fantastic retreat from the hustle of working life, enabling me to re-connect with the quiet pace of God’s Creation. I am a veteran outdoors guy but Richard and the Wildside Team brought something new and exciting to my understanding of relating faith to the natural world.”

Tony Lane (St Mary's Church, Uffculme)
